We are excited to announce that registration for the 2017 Office of
Prevention and Family Support (OPFS) Youth Summit is now open! Middle and High School youth, grades 6-12, and their adult chaperones are invited to join us for a fun, dynamic, engaging day filled with inspiring, motivational and educational messages designed to empower youth and adults to make the best choices for their lives. This FREE event includes lunch, giveaways and lots of FUN! One adult chaperone is required for every 10 youth. The Youth Summit will be held on Saturday, May 6 at John C. Maxwell Leadership Center, 2050 Sugarloaf Circle, Duluth, GA 30097, from 10 am – 3 pm. Doors open at 8:45 am, and everyone must be signed in by 9:45 am. https://guideinc.org/events/youth-development-trainings/ The Office of Latino Student Services and Outreach (LASSO) at GSU Perimeter Campuses is very excited to announce that the Goizueta Scholarship which has existed on the Atlanta campus for the past few years, is now, as of Fall 2017 expanding all 5 Perimeter College campuses (Alpharetta, Dunwoody, Clarkston, Decatur and Newton)!
This scholarship is a two year, cohort based award of $3600 per year that will be available to incoming fall freshman for the next 4 years. This scholarship is open to Latino students who will be entering any Perimeter campus for the first time in the Fall. The application deadline is May 1st.
