Hospice Atlanta’s Camp STARS is a weekend camp, November 1-3, 2019, that provides a safe environment where individuals can express their grief over the death of a loved one. The camp has been taking place since 1994 at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, Georgia which is about 50 miles east of Atlanta. We have served thousands of children and adults from all across Georgia as well as people from other states. We will also be having a one-day grief workshop for families March 7, 2020 at The Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta. This is for those who may not want to commit to a weekend.
We welcome any number of family members and allow each family to determine who is included in their family system. Families may also register online at http://vnhs.org/campstars. Each family will have its own cabin which house up to 10 family members. We are a non-profit organization and fully rely on community donations for all expenses related to the camp. This allows us to offer the camp for a nominal registration fee per family of $40 which may be waived if needed. This fee includes lodging, food, and all weekend activities. If a family registers 2 people or 10 people, the fee is $40. Families are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from camp.
