On behalf of the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential (GCAPP), I would like to invite you and a group of dynamic youth ages 14-24 to our 2019 Youth Empowerment Summit (YES!) in Atlanta on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. EST. The GCAPP Youth Empowerment Summit is an exciting and informative display of resilience, creativity, and inspiration from — and for — young people across Georgia. YES! brings together over 500 high school and college students to highlight and address emerging issues that are important to them and provides them a safe place for expression. YES! features young people who are experiencing personal growth and leading social change in their local communities, in many cases against all odds. The youth-driven event, held in multiple regions across the state, includes: town hall youth panel discussions; interactive activities focused on overall adolescent wellness and healthy peer relationships; and breakout sessions facilitated by community leaders from the public and private sectors addressing the realities and emerging issues young people face. Through guided, empowering discussions, young people convey messages of hope and the opportunities to reach their goals and lead community and social change.
